Backup to DVD - AnyLive

AnyLive is a program designed by Eisoo, which can operate as a backup to DVD utility. Information security and backup is the main specialization of the developer. The program offers a user-friendly interface that can be very intuitively and pleasantly used by all categories of users. It’s based on creating backup and restores tasks, which is done with the help of task creation wizard. While creating a backup tasks, a user needs to specify the source of backup (with a possibility to automatically find system data, mails and IM chats) and where to write backup data (backup to DVD can be chosen as a backup destination). There are possibilities to create a backup plan and use task confirmation. You can perform complete and incremental backups with or without compression and encryption. AnyLive can restore the system’s condition to the last point of time (restores the latest versions of all backup tasks) or it can restore specified files and folders from any point of time in the past.

There are two ways to back up to DVD: the first was mentioned before (with the use of task creation wizard) and the second is to use integrated CD/DVD burning tool, but in the second case there will only be an option to directly back up files to DVD with no automatic backup source search offered.

All things considered, Eisoo Software Inc. offers efficient and pleasant backup to DVD solution. Paying $49.95 for a single license of AnyLive may be considered too high, but it’s a good value for money for a wide audience of users.
